Letters Patent, Constitution, By-laws

The Minister of Consumer and Commercial Relations signed letters patent on April 26, 1977 to create what was then the Ontario Municipal Retirees Organization (OMRO). The name was changed to the Municipal Retirees Organization Ontario (MROO) in 1991.

You'll have a better understanding of MROO and how our organization functions if you read our constitution.

If you're interested in more detail about our procedures, you can consult our by-laws. By-law No. 6 was passed in 2011 (previous by-laws were repealed). It sets out many of the details of how MROO operates, including the election of the board of directors.
