OMERS Governance Review 2025
Special Advisor Robert Poirier was appointed in 2024 to conduct a review of the OMERS governance model. The review was initiated in response to fairness, equity and transparency concerns raised by stakeholders who are part of the pension plan. Learn more about MROO's response.
Housing Options for Ontario Seniors
In 2020, MROO established a Housing Support for Ontario Seniors Committee (HSOS) to develop a strategy for long-term care housing in Ontario and advocate for other housing options for seniors.Â
Healthcare for Ontario Seniors
MROO continues to advocate for equitable and accessible healthcare for all Ontario seniors, including long-term care home. During COVID-19, MROO donated over $63,000 to organizations across Ontario. In 2021, MROO advocated for the re-implementation of free and accessible eyecare for all seniors.
